The GSD configuration steps for Ethernet communication between Huichuan frequency converter and Siemens PLC are as follows:
Hardware preparation:
Huichuan side controller: Huichuan AM401 1608TP/TN
Siemens side controller: CPU 1511T-1 PN
Software preparation:
Huichuan PLC programming software: inproshop version: 1.7.3
Siemens PLC software: TIA Botu V17
Device connection:
Use AM401 1608TP/TN controller and connect the testing platform according to the topology structure. Ensure that the default IP address for the EtherNet port of AM401-CPU1608TP/TN is 192.168.1.88, and that the Ethernet port connected to the upper computer is in the same network segment
New project:
Open the inproshop 1.7.3 software, click on "New Project", select "Standard Project" and set the file name and storage address
Communication settings:
Double click on the left tree menu "Device" in the software, click on "Communication Settings", scan the network and select the AM401-CPU1608TP/TN device to establish communication
Modbus TCP Slave Function Configuration:
Add Modbus TCP master station in the network configuration and double-click 【 Modbus_TCP_Slave 】 to set the slave station IP address to 192.168.1.1 and port number to 502
GSD file management:
Create a new project in TIA Botu, select Manage General Station Description Files, and install GSD files
Select Modbus RS485 to Profinet gateway in the project, set its device name and IP address to ensure consistency with the settings in the configuration software
Configure GSD files and gateway devices:
Install GSD files in Botu, add new devices and select PLC models, configure module properties, assign device names and interface types
Set communication parameters for gateway devices, such as data length and register quantity, download configurations, and monitor data interaction
